[Seattle] Open Decks @ Motor (21+)

Open Deck Wednesday at Motor 3/24, please spread the word!!

We will be off again 3/31 as Motor was previously booked out this date prior to Open Decks starting.

This will be the last night we will be doing the WHOLE night as open decks.

Beginning Wednesday April 7th, this night will be a community effort to showcase local talent both seasoned and up and coming talent, with a heavier emphasis on the new up coming talent, or seasoned veterans getting out of their normal genres and playing styles they wouldn't normally be booked to play.

The night runs from 8 to 2 and as such will be divided up into 4, hour and a half blocks which are each divided into 3, thirty minute slots.

The first hour and a half will always be reserved for true open decks and until otherwise noted this will be a first come first serve basis. An advanced sign up option for this is still being discussed.

After the first hour and a half, the remaining 3 hour and a half blocks will be assigned out to the various crews/companies that have signed up on a rotating basis.

These blocks are still divided into 30 minute slots and must have at least one dj representing each 30 min slot. 1 DJ can not play a full hour or hour and a half. However, 2 DJs may tag/2x4 for one hour, or 3 may tag/2x4 for an hour and a half.

Crews/Companies may sign up to come out as a one off or sign up to get in the regular rotation.

Crews/Companies in the rotation are encouraged to rotate out their djs as to not have the same djs playing every week. Booking djs from outside their own crew/company is acceptable and encouraged. Hopefully preference will be given to the djs who are unaffiliated with any crew who have been continually supporting the open decks night since it started back in January.
