HARDCORE
This guy is great. He makes his own music! One time I went to Spain to support him and see him play. His music is danceable and uplifting, and always great to sing-a-long to!

Breakcore/Mashcore/???
Also a great guy. Friends for five years. He likes to take songs that don't go together and force them together (I've been told this is a "mash-up"). Taking a recognizable song and contorting it beyond recognition is his specialty. He also makes some original choons, with lots of beeps and bloops!

DJ Jimni Cricket

AWESOMECORE
Many years ago, a friend gave me my first happy hardcore CD. It was one of Jimni's mixes. I played it over and over again, and it quickly became the soundtrack to my summer. A few years later, I ended up living with my idol! I quickly learned how much energy, effort and determination she put forth into her music, and my admiration continued to grow. Every show is different, and her quick mixing skills and constant energy provide a memorable show every time.

DJ Tom Swift
UK Garage/Bassline
We met at a house party. He introduced me to UK Garage. I learned that it was more than Sneaker Pimps ("But everyone knows, 'Spin, Spin, Sugar'!"). I got an education in electronic dance music that I had not previously been exposed to. He is one of the founders of United House Front (UHF), as well as a member of the Full Blast crew, bringing UKG to the northwest with monthly club nights. While he plays shows frequently, he has yet to put out a mix.

1-2:
Two more open decks slots

Open deck sign ups start at 8pm and are first come first serve
NO CALLING/TEXTING TO HAVE A SPOT HELD FOR YOU

IF YOU PLAY ONE WEEK, YOU ARE INELIGIBLE TO PLAY THE FOLLOWING WEEK. THIS IS IN AN EFFORT TO ENSURE AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE GET A SHOT.

Please, make it a point to already know how to beatmatch. The intent of these open decks is to get exposure for up and coming DJs to local promoters, and to give new DJs an opportunity to learn the difference between a house system and a large sound system. Please do not sign up unless you have put in a significant amount of hours on turntables at a house or bedroom. No one learns to DJ overnight, and no one wants to hear you 'practice'. Treat this as a real gig, where promoters will hear you and potentially book you for a paying gig on a weekend show.

BRING YOUR OWN GEAR: Headphones, records/cds. Whatever you might need other than the actual Turntables/Mixer/CDJs. We do not provide RCA cables for your laptop or anything else. If you use vinyl turntables, you should know how much headshells/cartridges cost, we do not provide them. A carprenter doesnt show up to a job with out a hammer. Bring your own tools.
